Kanto Inc. by Joanah Tinio-Calingo, Taga-Ilog, and Kilayman
If there are any reading materials that I am going to recommend, Kanto Inc. would definitely be one of them.
Kanto Inc. is a comics created by Joanah Tinio-Calingo, Taga-Ilog, and Kilayman, under the organization of Point Zero Comics. It's about a BS Nuclear Physics graduate who landed her first job in a call center but got fired afterwards because of a weirdo customer who complains about his computer being inhabited by a duwende who also will eventually become her next employer.
Sobrang benta lang talaga. As in panalo ang komiks na 'to. Solid. :)
I felt Gwen's (our protagonist) sentiments in her difficulty in landing a job that evenly matches her credentials. Wow, so much for a nuclear physicist working in a call center company. I felt my own dilemma also as I currently struggle in the professional world. Even though in a comical way, Kanto Inc. has captured the reality experienced by every college graduate, especially to those who had over-qualifying credentials. Parang nagsayang ka lang ng ilang taon at pera sa pag-aaral.
So much for the harsh reality, let's go over to the points that made me smile. Oh yeah, a spin off of Trese and the Kambal in issue 3; I love the Kambal! Woot! :)
Overall, I really enjoyed this comics. I love it! Just the same super-enjoy-feeling I got while reading Crime-Fighting Call Center Agents by Noel Pascual and AJ Bernardo. Oh, these two titles are definitely created with wits.
